Code of Conduct

At Creativewhiz, Inc., we are committed to cultivating a community that supports our core values by providing an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for every participant, both online and in-person. To realize this vision, we ask all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff at our events to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

General Conduct Guidelines:

  • Respect: Show respect and consideration to all attendees, staff, and speakers. Negative behavior towards others will not be tolerated.
  • Inclusivity: Foster an inclusive atmosphere where diverse thoughts and opinions are welcomed and free from any form of discrimination.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional standard of communication and behavior.
  • Compliance: Comply with all local, state, and federal laws as well as AREA policies and health protocols.

Unacceptable Behaviors Include:

  • Harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, psychological, or sexual.
  • Racism, sexism, or any other discriminatory language or actions.
  • Disruption of presentations or other events organized within AREA, online or in person.
  • Unauthorized recording, photography, or similar forms of capturing and distribution of content without consent.
  • Violation of privacy by publication of private communication without consent.

Online and Social Media Conduct:

  • Participants must not engage in harmful behavior towards others including trolling, cyberbullying, or spreading misinformation.
  • Any form of communication through AREA online platforms should reflect the principles of this Code of Conduct.

Health and Safety:

  • At in-person events, all attendees are expected to adhere to public health guidelines related to safety and hygiene.
  • Stay informed and compliant with all safety protocols, especially concerning communicable illnesses such as COVID-19.

Limitation of Liability:

  • Loss or Damage: AREA assumes NO liability for lost, stolen, or damaged property of attendees, partners, startups, sponsors and cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings.
  • Personal Injury: AREA is NOT liable for any personal injuries sustained by attendees while participating in any aspect of the event. Participants attend and engage in activities at their own risk.
  • Incidents: In the event of an incident, please promptly report it to event staff so appropriate action can be taken; however, AREA responsibility is limited to managing the situation within the scope of the event setting.

By attending or participating in AREA events, you agree to release AREA, and its employees, officers, directors, and agents from any claims, demands, and damages of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with any such loss, damage, or injury.

Consequences:

  • Anyone requested to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
  • AREA reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the event without refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and AREA may ban individuals from future events.

This Code of Conduct applies to all event-related venues, including ancillary events and official social gatherings, the AREA website, and social media channels. We value your attendance and are dedicated to providing a positive event experience for all participants.
